MBA program accurately reflects a managerial
reality in today's economy.
The
University of Pittsburgh is located in Oakland,
the educational and cultural heart of Pittsburgh.
It includes The Carnegie with its famous museums
of art and natural history. Pittsburgh's other
cultural assets include the world-renowned Pittsburgh
Symphony, the Pittsburgh Opera, and the Pittsburgh
Ballet and Public Theatres.
Pittsburgh
is located in south-western Pennsylvania and
was once the heart of American heavy industry.
Over the past 25 years, however, Pittsburgh
has transformed itself into a city known for
finance, health care, education, and high-tech
engineering. While remaining home to 10 Fortune
500 companies, Pittsburgh also serves as a regional
headquarters for divisions of several multi-national
firms. Mervis Hall, home to the Katz MBA program,
has just undergone a renaissance in construction
and renovation. It has been transformed into
a fully wired Team Tech Centre, with tiered
classrooms, student lounges, and 18 new MBA
team-meeting rooms. In addition to Mervis Hall,
Katz students can also enjoy access to the University's
speciality libraries, public-computing labs,
and athletic facilities, which include an Olympic-size
swimming pool.
