
The Program in Economic Policy Management (PEPM)
The world’s most global public policy school, Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, provides its students with the skills and knowledge to pursue distinguished careers in government, business, media nonprofit organizations, NGOs and international organizations. It is located in New York City, in proximity to the United Nations, Wall Street and some of the greatest cultural centers.
Now in its 15th year, the Program in Economic Policy Management provides rigorous graduate training in micro and macroeconomics, development policy, finance and public management, with a strong emphasis on the policy issues faced by developing countries. Interested students may also pursue a focus in International Energy Management and Policy. The 14-month program includes three semesters of course work, followed by a 3-month internship with an economic policy organization, such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund or a private sector institution. Students earn a Master of Public Administration degree.
PEPM alumni belong to a broad and dynamic network of experienced professionals. They come from over 100 countries and include ministers of economy, governors of central banks, and members of Parliament.
The 2007-2008 program begins in July of 2007. Applications should be received by January 1, 2007.
