The
University

Education
The
University
of
Westminster
is
one
of
the
most
established
providers
of
Management
Education
in
the
United
Kingdom.
It
has
been
offering
education
for
business
since
the
early
1850's
when
it's
precursor
(the
London
Polytechnic
Institution)
established
a
series
of
evening
classes
in
trade
subjects.
Later,
In
1923
the
Industrial
League
and
Council
of
the
polytechnic
presented
a
series
of
lectures
on
Management
and
Industry
and
a
new
school
of
management
opened
the
following
year.
It
has
been
offering
the
MBA
since
1970.
In
1992,
the
Polytechnic
was
formally
rededicated
as
the
University
of
Westminster.

Admissions
Requirements
-
A
good
first
degree
from
a
recognised
university.
This
varies
from
country
to
country
but
will
be
a
minimum
of
2.2
in
the
UK
education
system.
-
At
least
3
years'
relevant
post-graduate
management
experience.
-
Non-native
English
speakers
will
need
to
have
either
a
minimum
IELTS
score
of
6.5
or
TOEFL
score
of
650.
-
all
applicants
who
meet
the
entry
requirements
are
for
a
selection
interview
(which
may
be
by
phone
if
necessary).
If
you
cannot,
for
some
reason,
attend
the
interview,
you
are
asked
to
take
the
Graduate
Management
Admission
Test
(GMAT)
and
achieve
a
score
of
550.
